My fellow Pratchett lovers will know what I mean when I say I <3 Death.

Mort is one of my favorite Discworld books, and the second one I would kill to see made into a movie. (My first choice still has to be Going Postal.)

Free for use.

Actually, I'd rather see The Last Hero turned into a movie? How awesome would it be to see Discworld on the big screen? That would be HUGE! :o

That one was freaking amazing also. (Heck, what Discworld isn't freaking amazing? ^^) I think I didn't appreciate it as much as I should have because I was reading the heavily illustrated version and was totally distracted by Paul Kidby's gloriful art at every page.

I know! Apparently they've done a couple of his stories as TV movies in the UK. I'm a little torn between wanting to see them and not, in case they're terrible and soil my opinion of Pratchettdom. I'll probably give in, but even so who knows if they'll ever get over to the U.S. As usual YouTube saves the day, huh?

I love going postal. I'm not sure why, but it's really awesome. x3

It was the first one I read, I don't know if that had any effect. I should reread it sometime.

Yeah, that's the version I have! =D That's exactly the reason why I think they should turn it into a movie! The scene where they landed on the moon would be EPIC eyecandy... :o

They did TV movies already? O.o Dayum, so I now have something to Google then.... Thanks for the heads-up, bud!

I seriously need to read more Terry Pratchett books, but everytime I buy one I finish it within a few days and I don't want to go and buy another one too soon. (My wallet wouldn't acknowledge. T.T) I only read 5 and only 2 of the Discworld series.. I'm probably the suckiest Discworld fan in the world.

I'm a member of Team Erik. Because a mysterious man living in the basement of an opera house wearing a mask is a hell of a lot more believable than sparkling vampires.
:icontheblackdrac:
Okay, maybe that's the only version of the book. ^^;

Gah! The moon thing was awesome. I read that part twice. ^^ My second favorite scene was the one where Cohen whacks the dice in half in the bet with the gods. That Pratchett's a witty guy.

No prob. I did give in and watched the first half of The Colour of Magic, which I haven't read yet actually, and it's not too bad. They cast Rincewind quite differently than I imagined him (I'm too influenced by Kidby, methinks) but he's played pretty well.

It'd still be great to see a *doom* MAJOR MOTION PICTURE *doom* version of a Pratchett book, though.

My second favorite would be when the minstrel whacked the god he was worshiping. Who knew he had it in him? ^^; But that loser had it coming.

As long as Rincewind remains the lazy cowardly bastard that we know and love, I'm happy.
But that aside, if they did make a movie it'd have to be the Last Hero and I hope they don't epicly rape it like they did the Harry Potter movies T_T. But I'm wondering who they could possibly get to play the ever clever Lord Vetinari. >_>

Naw, at least you've heard of him. I'm sad he's not as well-known in the US as he should be.

I'm the same way. I have to raid the public library for Pratchettness, otherwise I couldn't afford it. Someday I intend to go buy a couple of my favorites, though. Which books have you read?

Ah, death is my favorite character in all of Discworld. He kicks butt.
